“Congratulations—Ten Thousand Years of Happiness”

by Toyokuni III (1786-1864), an original ukiyoe triptych honoring the Eighty Seventh Birthday

of Keizan, in the 70th year in the life of Toyokuni III.

The title is written on the white banner, signed lower left corner, left panel:

“Seventy Year Old Toyokuni III”. The censor seal in the left panel is Aratame censor seal: 1854-1857.

Center panel: Censor seals (Aratame 1854-1857) and Publisher’s seal

(Ise-ya-kanekichi {Isekane}1840s-1860s Akasaka).

Right panel: “San Choyu gatana” (Three Longevity Swords)

is written in upper right hand cartouche. Aratame censor seals are below the title.

Hokken no zu is written above and to right of first figure.

The seal above the sword reads Miura Daisuke (name of family).
